What the heck is Comic Blender?

We're Frozen Beach Studios. Back when the second volume of our IDW book The Pound launched, we decided to put the book online and do it with a little extra oomph that we hoped would make it stand out.

Do you want to steal my stuff?

We've decided to allow others to put their books in the system to share the love and the technology. We don't want your money, and we don't want your creations. We just thought someone else might find it useful.

So, I have to give my book away for free?

No. You can also use Comic Blender as an enhancement for your print edition. Simply "lock" your book and print a QR Code or URL in your book somewhere and send your readers here. The book with be protected with the old-school software type of protection of looking for word x on page x. Of course if you wanted to give your books away they can be fully unlocked and read without any restrictions to access. In the end, nothing is proprietary and images are just that, images.

What can I do with my books here?

There are several enhancements over the traditional paper medium you can use.

• Allow the reader to turn on or off the colours on the book to see the original inks. You can also do the same with letters/sound effects if you choose.
• Add trivia (or any information, really) to panels/pages/wherever. With this you're able to point out things people might have missed and things you think are interesting to your readers.

How much does this cost me?

Nothing. We don't want your money.
